Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water) for thicker sauce

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry, season with salt and pepper, and cut into chunks.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken until golden on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic to skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar until dissolved.
  5. Return chicken to skillet and simmer uncovered 10-12 minutes, until sauce thickens.
  6. (Optional) Stir in cornstarch slurry for a thicker glaze.
  7. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve hot.
