Ingredients

1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin recommended), at room temperature

10 oz rotini pasta

2 tbsp olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup honey

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

1/2 tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook rotini until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pat steak dry, season with salt and pepper. Sear in a hot skillet with 1 tbsp olive oil, 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining oil and garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Slice steak thinly against the grain, return to skillet, coat in sauce.
  6. Add cooked rotini to skillet, toss everything together.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve warm.
