Ingredients
8 oz penne pasta
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)
Salt & black pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Season steaks with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Rest the steak on a plate.
- In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic; cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in cream, remaining Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then add parmesan and mozzarella, stirring until melted.
- Toss in cooked pasta, adding pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Slice rested steak and serve over pasta. Spoon extra sauce on top and garnish with parsley.
