Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups heavy cream
12 oz penne or rigatoni pasta (uncooked)
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken pieces. Season with ranch mix, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium, add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to deglaze the pan.
- Add pasta, stir well. Cover and simmer for 13–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once pasta is tender, stir in cheddar cheese and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
- Return chicken and sausage to the skillet. Mix everything together.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
