4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 tablespoons butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and optional Italian seasoning. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the pan, cover, and simmer on low for 7–10 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides.
