Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup chicken broth

¾ cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

⅓ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

4 slices cooked bacon, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. Create the Flavor Base: In the same skillet, add garlic, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the pan’s bottom to deglaze.
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce: Lower heat to medium and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine and Cook: Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Cover and simmer on low for 10-12 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Add Final Touches: Sprinkle with cooked bacon and fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy with your favorite side dish.
