3 to 4 pounds beef brisket

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 large yellow onions, chopped

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cups beef broth

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Season brisket with salt and pepper. Sear each side for 3-4 minutes.
