1 pound ground breakfast sausage

6 large eggs

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sharp cheddar preferred)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (or biscuit dough)

1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, mozzarella, and half the cheddar.
  4. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Press crescent roll dough into the bottom, sealing seams.
  5. Spread sausage over the dough base evenly.
  6. Spoon the cheese mixture over the sausage layer.
  7. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk. Pour evenly over casserole.
  8. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
