1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Topping:

3 tablespoons melted butter

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, oil, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add buttermilk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, stirring just until combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. While warm, brush with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly on top.
