Description

Chocolate Pecan Turtle Clusters are a decadent treat combining toasted pecans, gooey caramel, and rich chocolate for the perfect bite-sized indulgence. These sweet and crunchy candies are easy to make and ideal for gifting, parties, or a simple dessert that will wow everyone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup soft caramel candies (or homemade caramel)
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • Sea salt (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread pecans on a baking sheet and toast them for 7-10 minutes, then allow them to cool.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange 3-4 toasted pecans into small clusters on the sheet.
  3. Melt caramel candies with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan until smooth, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spoon melted caramel onto the center of each pecan cluster, ensuring it holds the nuts together. Let the caramel set for about 10 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate chips using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel and pecans, covering each cluster completely. Smooth with the back of a spoon if desired.
  7. Sprinkle with sea salt (optional) and allow the clusters to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
  8. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Toasting the pecans adds a deep, nutty flavor—don’t skip this step!
  • For variety, drizzle clusters with white chocolate or sprinkle with crushed nuts.
  • Clusters can be stored at room temperature for up to 5 days, refrigerated for up to 2 weeks, or frozen for up to 3 months.
