1 lb ground beef

1 cup uncooked white rice

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1½ cups beef broth or water

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil or butter

Optional: chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the rice until just tender. Set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and broth until smooth.
  5. Add in cooked rice and 1 cup of shredded cheese. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  7. Top evenly with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
