Description

This Cheesy Garlic Butter Corn on the Cob is a mouthwatering twist on a classic favorite. Juicy, sweet corn is brushed with rich garlic butter, then topped with melted cheese for a creamy, savory finish. Whether baked, grilled, or cooked on the stovetop, this dish is perfect as a side for BBQs, family dinners, or even as a delicious snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ears of fresh corn on the cob
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or parmesan)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven or grill: If baking, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). If grilling, heat to medium-high heat.
  2. Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat the corn: Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each ear of corn.
  4. Cook the corn:
    • Oven Method: Wrap each ear of corn in foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally.
    • Grill Method: Place directly on the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning every few minutes until slightly charred.
    • Stovetop Method: Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 10-12 minutes, turning frequently.
  5. Add the cheese: Once the corn is cooked, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. If needed, place back in the oven, grill, or under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  6. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley (if using) and serve hot. Enjoy!
