This warm, creamy Cheese Dip is the ultimate party appetizer! Made with a blend of cheddar, Monterey Jack, and cream cheese, this dip is rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. Perfect for dipping tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables, it’s an easy crowd-pleaser for game nights, gatherings, or snack time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup milk (plus more if needed)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup diced green chilies (optional)
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely diced (optional)

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and cream cheese, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring until fully combined.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, and mix well.
  • Slowly add the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese melts completely and the dip is smooth.
  • If using diced green chilies or jalapeños, stir them in at this stage.
  • If the dip is too thick, add a bit more milk to reach the desired consistency.
  • Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Serve immediately with chips, crackers, or veggies.
