Ingredients

Scale

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 ½ cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional)

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

⅓ cup heavy cream (or milk)

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thickening)

Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Steam broccoli for 2–3 minutes until just tender.
  5. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat. Stir in flour (if using), then add half of the cheddar cheese and whisk until smooth.
  6. Layer steamed broccoli over seared chicken in the skillet. Pour the cheddar sauce over everything.
  7. Sprinkle remaining cheddar and optional mozzarella on top.
  8. Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F) and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
